When most hear the words station wagon they think of a giant Buick Roadmaster or boat-like Chevy Caprice.  The same cannot be said for this 2000 Audi A6 Avant.  Audi did a great job with the A6 avant from the factory, but this beauty is a few steps, no, a leap beyond.  Slammed on Suspension Techniques (ST) coilovers by KW, front and rear Hotchkis anti-sway bars and a staggered set of Sevas 19 inch wheels; the stance on this wagon is just plain mean.  A custom RS6 style exhaust sets off the fat rear-end, while the AllRoad center grille keeps your brain wondering why the front end has something just a little bit different.  The C5 A6 also borrowed the aluminum side door blades from the Audi AllRoad which match perfectly with the aluminum roof rails.  Whether you’re a fan of avants or not, one thing is for certain, the soccer mom driving this Audi wagon is guaranteed to be a MILF.

The Sevas S-star rims are 19″ x 8.5″ front and 19″ x 9.5″ rear wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sports 235/35R 19 all the way around, and pushed to the limits in the rear using 15mm spacers from ECS tuning.

Quattro Kings visited the Washington D.C. Auto show this weekend and was very pleasently surprised.  Audi’s booth was absolutely incredible.  The finest four ringed cars were on display for visitors to drool over.  All of the new S models were there, inlcuding the S6, S7 and S8.  These beauties are powered by Audi’s new twin-turbo 4.0 liter V8 engine.  With their massive grilles, huge brake set-ups (carbon ceramic optional) and amazing LED lighting, these cars stole the show.  However, not to be out shined by the all new RS5 with its naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 putting out 450 horse power, the face-lift B8 S4 and a gorgeous 5.2 V10 R8 Spyder, all in stunning Misano Red.  Audi also debuted the A3 E-tron which is still in development along with the re-release of the Allroad, this time using the A4 chassis.  Audi’s booth was by far the most crowded.  With delightful gasps and wide-eyed looks of amazement, it’s safe to say that yet again Audi has managed to stay above the curve in delighting its customers, both current and future!

Local Quattro Kings Co-Founder Aaron took a few shots of his classic B5 S4.  Covered in Audi’s brilliant black, this beast gets attention wherever it goes.  While it’s menacing exterior and massive front mount intercooler can scare small children, it’s open downpipe exhaust makes the manliest of men jump with one full throttle pull.  While it certainly isn’t the fastest of the twin turbo 2.7 Audi’s this S4 is very well equipped with GIAC software, water-methanol injection and a long list of supporting mods…

Quattro Kings put on its first official get together this weekend.  For a fairly spur of the moment kind of thing it turned out to be a great showing of four ringed greatness.  A 45 degree day in late January is actually nice here in the Washington D.C. area.  With a showing of vehicles across Audi’s spectrum, passers by couldn’t help but turn their heads.  Among the crowd were four RS4′s (Daytona Grey, Mugello Blue, Sprint Blue and Phantom Black), three B5 S4′s, two C5 A6′s, two D2 big bodies (Pearl White A8 and Silver Metallic S8), a B6 A4 and a B7 A4 sporting brand new Rotiform BLQ’s.

A great photo opportunity and a great chance to chat with fellow Audi enthusiasts ensued.  Quattro King members all cruised to Laurel Station for some delicious wings and a few needed beers.  A great time, and the first of many Quattro King meets.  We look forward to seeing more four ring drivers next time!

We recently had the pleasure of checking out the all new Audi R8 GT.  This exclusive performance model of the already amazing R8 V10 just now arrived in the United States.  The GT was produced in a very limited amount, this beautiful Samoa Orange is number 219/333 that will be produced.  Boasting an increased 550 horsepower, trackworthy suspension and contisport 5p tires, this R8 is not to be messed with.

The GT features quite a few styling upgrades with a focus on carbon fiber.  This lightweight material can be seen on the new front spoiler, front side splitters, mirror covers, rear spoiler, rear valance and throughout the cabin.
